The difference between an old bruise and a new bruise is in the colouring above pictures are two new bruises, they are very re/purple and prominant.

A bruise on the face due to impact from a fist will show on the high points of the face, usually the cheek bone and eye socket. Its important to know that when a nose is broken it creates two black eyes.
